Miley Cyrus Caught in New Racy Photo Firestorm

A new set of racy photos threaten to further tarnish Miley Cyrus' not-so picture-perfect image.

The Disney starlet, who vowed to stay away from naughty photo shoots, was photographed posing provocatively in pictures posted on Twitter by the producer of her latest film.

Producer Adam Shankman, 44, published photos of the 16-year-old starlet pouting while she straddles a chair in shorts and a tight vest. A second photo shows the smoldering starlet pressing up against the filmmaker in images he apparently took on the set of her latest film "The Last Song."

"Little photo shoot with the girl," he wrote under the first photo.

The filmmaker, who directed Disney star Zac Efron in "Hairspray" and is producing the starlet's new movie, defended the photos Monday and said there was nothing inappropriate about the risque shoot.

"Miley is a sweet angel who works tirelessly and endlessly, and is allowed to have fun in the make up room!" Adam Shankman posted on his Twitter page. "Seriously! Lighten up or no more behind the scenes pics! She's like my angel little sister."

This is not the first time the pint-sized star has gotten into hot water for racy photos. She is has been photographed in her underwear in pictures that appeared on Twitter and stirred controversy when she appeared in pictures striking a "slant-eye" pose on the micro-blogging site.

In an issue of Vanity Fair last year, Miley posed topless for the magazine with a blanket wrapped around her chest in photos taken by Annie Leibovitz. She was 15 at the time.

"I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," Miley said in a statement last April.

Ashley Tisdale stars in non-gadgets adventure vacation

CEBU, Philippines - High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale appears alongside talented youngsters in the upcoming adventure comedy “Aliens in the Attic,” which is written by Mark Burton who wrote “Madagascar” and the Award-winning “Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were- Rabbits” with Adam F. Goldberg, who also wrote “The Muppets: Wizard of Oz.”

“Aliens in the Attic” spirals into adventure when the Pearsons go on a family vacation. But soon, the kids realize that they are not alone as there are a group of knee-high aliens who have invaded their vacation house. As the aliens begin to attack from the attic, Bethany (Tisdale) along with the other kids must use all their skills, imagination and cooperation to protect the adults from the little creatures, who want to take over the world.

The movie takes the audience to the perfect family vacation home in Michigan, an idyllic place, especially for a bit of father and son bonding time fishing on the nearby lake. It’s definitely a low-tech house. There are no Playstations or iPods or any other technology these kids are used to.

“In that spirit, we’re trying to provide a place where these families will feel there’s a great opportunity to throw technology away for a moment, to get rid of their iPods and just embrace being in the great outdoors, with evergreen trees, meadows, and a big rambling beautiful house,” explains the production designer Barry Chusid, who is famous for his work on “The Day After Tomorrow.”

“There are so many little things that are truly southern hemisphere, which are very different to the northern hemisphere,” continues Chusid. “Often times when you watch a movie, it’s not something that you actually look at and see but rather something you feel, whether it’s just the height of a doorknob or an electrical outlet. What we have done is to make everything look like a normal Michigan vacation spot so that the story can be all about the characters and the aliens and their journey. I think we’ve tried to meet the challenge head on and have some fun.”

The movie is certainly funny but it’s also a nuanced and warm look at family relationships and the struggle to find one’s own identity. “The cast has been incredibly enthusiastic, I imagine because the script gives them all a lot of opportunities to shine. Ashley is the perfect older sister. Her comedic timing, endless energy and consummate skill in front of the camera really inspired all the other kids,” enthuses director John Schultz.

“My character Bethany is a typical teenager,” says Tisdale of her role. “She has a younger brother and a younger sister and has that sibling relationship with her brother where they’re annoyed with each other all the time and he’s always embarrassing her,” she explains. “But she’s also someone who beneath the mean older sister exterior has a lot of heart and obviously when she knows what’s going on with the whole situation, jumps right in there with the family and sticks up for them, as well as for herself, so she was really fun to play.”

“Aliens in the Attic” opens very soon in theaters from 20th Century Fox to be distributed by Warner Bros.

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato crash high school prom

Best pals Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato ditched a glamorous film party to invade a high school prom in Canada on Thursday.

The two Disney stars were in Toronto celebrating the launch of her new TV movie Princess Protection Program when they decided to check out a prom at nearby Etobicoke Collegiate Institute.

Security guards allowed the 16-year-olds to sneak into the event, where they mingled with stunned students, and even took to the dance floor to show off her moves.

Prom night came to an end for the teens at 11pm, however, after the party-crashers were asked to leave because they weren't students.

Gomez was still on a high after the event, writing on her Twitter.com blog: "Ppp (Princess Protection Program) peeps and I crashed a prom tonight and danced with a highschool!! amazing!! I finally had prom!"

Miley Cyrus fights scalpers with paperless tickets

NASHVILLE (Billboard) – As Miley Cyrus prepares to hit the road this fall, the spotlight is shining on what was once a relatively minor piece of the touring puzzle: the ticket.

Or in this case, the lack thereof. Cyrus' tour will use paperless tickets, and that's causing a commotion, mostly among the scalpers who infamously made so much money from her last tour.

The 2007-08 Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds trek grossed $55 million and sold about 1 million tickets to 70 shows reported to Billboard Boxscore. But it also provided outraged parents with a bitter introduction to secondary vendors, who scooped up tickets and sold them at huge markups. The resulting controversy made Cyrus the poster child for what many perceived as an out-of-control resale market.

Now Cyrus' fall tour will make history as the first arena-level trek to embrace paperless ticketing in an attempt to thwart resellers. As is the case with airlines, those who purchase the tickets must be on hand with their credit card to gain admission.

"The focus was, 'How do we take all the information we gathered last time out and do a better job of it?'" says Jason Morey, Cyrus' manager and president of Morey Management Group, an affiliate of Ticketmaster Entertainment's Front Line Management. "It was important to us to address the issue of demand. We thought that of every single option that was available out there, this was a really viable option, to go with the paperless ticketing."

Those associated with the tour say public feedback has been generally favorable and that tickets are selling well, with nearly 500,000 purchased already. The fact that they're not blowing out immediately as they did on the last tour is evidence that brokers aren't flooding the system, they say.

Meanwhile, secondary market players are crying foul, protesting that they're being shut out from buying Cyrus tickets, or at least hindered, and predicting entrance chaos, and a consumer backlash, at concerts.

Sean Pate, director of communications at the secondary market leader StubHub, says the number of tickets sold by resellers during the 2007-08 tour has been overstated. "There was a lot of misperception that brokers had gobbled all the available inventory and posted it on StubHub or anywhere else," he says. "The reality was that StubHub sold roughly 5%-6% (of seats) at any one of the venues she played in terms of the total seats in the arena."

Don Vaccaro, CEO of the secondary ticket aggregator Ticket Network, wonders aloud whether paperless ticketing might violate antitrust laws.

"Ticketmaster's actions are trying to restrain the secondary market from dealing in Miley Cyrus tickets and restraining consumers from being able to sell their rights to admission to that venue," Vaccaro says.

Morey disagrees. "Scalping is a really important issue to Miley," he says, "but really the focus is about giving the regular fan an opportunity to buy a really good ticket at face value."

Cyrus is not the first major touring act to turn to paperless ticketing. For AC/DC's North American tour last year, some 3,000-4,000 tickets per show were paperless. At a Metallica show in September at the O2 arena in London, all tickets were paperless. Both operations went smoothly, according to Ticketmaster chief technology officer Brian Pike.

"Most of the lines ran at roughly the same speed as a normal night," Pike says. "When people come with four tickets, it's actually sometimes faster than scanning four different pieces of paper. We think this technology has been well-tested and is ready for this challenge."

Chuck LaVallee, director of music relations for StubHub, begs to differ. "On AC/DC they were swiping cards and shoving fans through," he says. "If they didn't have time to check IDs on 3,000 tickets, they're not going to have time to check them on 18,000. I think the whole thing's a mess."

A PERFECT TEST CASE

In many ways a Cyrus tour is the perfect test market for paperless ticketing. Not many 11-year-old girls have credit cards, but their parents do, and many of them will surely be on hand for the shows. "Not many parents would send a 10-year-old to Staples Center (in Los Angeles) and drop them off for a concert," AEG Live president Randy Phillips says.

The Cyrus tour was sold in three stages: a Miley World fan club presale Monday, an American Express presale Wednesday and the general public on-sale Saturday. Prices range from $39.50 to $79.50, with I Love All Access (a division of Front Line) premium seats in the first 25 rows with perks like merchandise and services selling for about $295.

"Nobody cares about (the add-ons), they just want their tickets in the first 25 rows," LaVallee says.

Forty-five shows put on sale have sold slightly fewer than 500,000 tickets. "This is what on-sales used to look like before brokers got into our business," says Debra Rathwell, senior VP at AEG Live, which is promoting the tour. "Now you're dealing with the public, the public has their own time that they go about doing things, and I think we're off to a fantastic start."

The fact that tickets didn't blow out is a sign that brokers aren't flooding the system, Rathwell adds. "I can tell you last time brokers went in with their machines and it was ugly," she says. "That had to be shut down and stopped this year. The good news is the best tickets in all of these venues are in the hands of the public."

But LaVallee thinks the fact that the tour didn't sell out immediately means one of two things. "Either Miley Cyrus is not as hot as they thought she was," he says, "or the fans have spoken and they don't like paperless."

StubHub isn't carrying any Cyrus tickets for "philosophical" reasons," LaVallee says.

"Our company prides itself on being able to fulfill any ticket we sell, and we guarantee our client base that they will always get what they want," he says. "We couldn't guarantee (that to) our customers and Miley Cyrus fans who chose to buy tickets on our site. I do believe, had the paperless tickets been transferable, we would have done a healthy business on it."

RESELLERS STILL ACTIVE

Rathwell acknowledges that paperless ticketing hasn't completely shut down resellers, who can buy more than one ticket and then accompany their buyers to a venue. "I saw some of their postings," she says. "$2,600? Get a life. I don't think the big companies have postings, but you're always going to drag around the dregs."

LaVallee argues that paperless ticketing hasn't prevented brokers from buying up the same number of tickets as they normally would.

"The only thing this is going to do is shore up the local broker, take the business right back into the dark alleys, increase the amount of fraud," he says. "Joe Blow Broker in St. Louis doesn't have a 'fan protect.'"

And how would this Joe Blow Broker get his paperless tickets? "They're buying a crappy seat in the upper bowl and then some good seats below to walk people in," LaVallee says, adding that the potential for fraudulent tickets increases "exponentially" without a company like StubHub involved.

Fans who want to avoid fraud should go to Ticketmaster or the primary ticketer if it's not a Ticketmaster building, Morey says. "We've made this the most safe experience for a consumer to go to Ticketmaster, buy a face-value ticket and not deal with the chance that you go to a secondary site and either buy a fake ticket or meet somebody in a parking lot," he says.

In terms of pulling this off, it certainly can't hurt that the management company and ticketing company in question share an owner.

"There's definitely synergy," Morey says. "Ticketmaster wants to please us just like they want to please their other clients. This isn't something Ticketmaster tried to shove down my throat, this is something that I requested. They've literally moved mountains to try to make this right for this tour."

New Jonas Brothers album set for sales slide

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) – The Jonas Brothers are on track to score their second No. 1 album in less than a year next week, although sales will be sharply lower this time.
Industry analysts expect their Disney release "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" could sell upwards of 275,000 to 300,000 copies when the Billboard 200 is published on Wednesday.

The three siblings' last studio effort, "A Little Bit Longer," bulldozed its way to a No. 1 debut last August, when it started with 525,000.

The JoBros are scheduled to chat on CNN's "Larry King Live" on Thursday and perform on NBC's "Today" on Friday. The band's tour kicks off on Saturday in Dallas at Cowboys Stadium.

The current Billboard 200 champ is the Black Eyed Peas "The E.N.D.," which sold 304,000 copies during the week ended June 14.

Incubus' new hits collection "Monuments and Melodies" may arrive in the top 10 next week while Michael Buble's "Michael Buble Meets Madison Square Garden" and Will Downing's "Classique" could open in the top 20.

Demi Lovato is distracted. Her tour bus parked backstage at last month's Bamboozle Festival at the Meadowlands is so close to the main stage that the thunderous guitar riffs of Billy Talent are actually rocking her ride. The 16-year-old star of Disney Channel's "Camp Rock" and "Sonny With a Chance" springs up on the leather banquette where she had been reclining and suddenly shouts, "C'mon, let's go!"It's not an act, you see. Lovato really wants to rock.

On Larry King Live Thursday night, the host used his reporting skills to find out if Nick Jonas and Miley Cyrus are dating.

See photos of stars who make up and break up.

After talking about Nick's recent high school graduation, Larry King asked Joe Jonas about his "female situation" and if his girlfriend, actress Camilla Belle, is as famous as Nick's. (Watch video at 1:45 mark.)

Joe's response?

"I don't think anyone's as famous as Miley Cyrus," he said.

Look back at Miley's most scandalous moments.

After realizing he outed his brother's relationship, he quickly asked oldest brother Kevin to chime in before Nick interjected.

"I think there's a part of our life that we always try to keep private," Nick said.

Last week, Cyrus -- who recently split from beau Justin Gaston -- said it is nice to be back on friendly terms with her ex.

See what the Jonas Bros looked like as babies.

"He's my best friend, and we still hang out all the time," she said last Friday on 107.5 The River's Woody and Jim morning show in Nashville. "We've definitely reconnected. We don't know what's going to happen in the future, but right now we're just kind of kicking it and hanging out as much as we can."

Nick, who split with Cyrus at the end of 2007, recently took a trip to Georgia to visit the Hannah Montana star, who is now shooting the drama The Last Song.

Hudgens no 'label whore'

Vanessa Hudgens loves getting dressed up.
The High School Musical actress likes to experiment with fashion and wouldn't be happy wearing the same outfit day after day.
Vanessa - who works with Hollywood stylist Deborah Waknin - said: "I've used her forever and I'm in love with her! She completely gets me, which is really hard, I think. I'm not very typical; I like my own thing. I'm not content with wearing a T-shirt and jeans every day. I love fashion and I love playing with it."

Vanessa - who is dating her High School Musical co-star Zac Efron - describes her style as alternating between "bohemian chic" and "rocker
chic".

She added to Britain's InStyle magazine: "They all end in chic! When I'm feeling sweet, I'll throw on the floral clothes. Every now and then, long
skirts. Other days, I'll go for dark colours. I am no label whore and for the most part, I dress myself."

Jonas Brothers have No. 1 in their sights

The Jonas Brothers are on track to score their second No. 1 album in less than a year as "Lines, Vines and Trying Times" is on course to debut atop the Billboard 200 chart next week. Industry analysts say the Hollywood Records album may sell as many as 300,000 copies in its first week.

The trio's last studio effort, "A Little Bit Longer," bulldozed its way to a No. 1 debut in August, when it started with 525,000.

The JoBros are scheduled to chat on CNN's "Larry King Live" on Thursday and perform on NBC's "Today" on Friday. The band's tour kicks off on Saturday in Dallas at Cowboys Stadium.

"Lines" also led the Nielsen SoundScan Building Chart that was released on Wednesday, which reflected unweighted sales through the close of business on June 16. Billboard estimates the seven merchants who report to Nielsen SoundScan's Building chart -- Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, iTunes, Starbucks, Borders, Target and Anderson Merchandisers -- comprise about 60% of all U.S. album sales.

Incubus' new hits collection, "Monuments and Melodies" (Immortal/Epic), might arrive in the top 10 next week while Michael Buble's "Michael Buble Meets Madison Square Garden" (143/Reprise/Warner Bros.) and Will Downing's "Classique" (Peak) could open in the top 20.

Nielsen SoundScan's sales tracking week, as reflected in the official Billboard 200 chart, runs from Monday-Sunday of each week. The newest Billboard 200 chart, released Wednesday -- where the Black Eyed Peas' "The E.N.D." debuted at No. 1 with 304,000 -- reflected the week that ended June 14.

Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato Gear Up To Film 'Camp Rock 2'

Sure, right now the Jonas Brothers are focused on their upcoming summer tour (which kicks off on June 20) and their new album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, but once all that settles down Nick,2"

"We're going to be in Canada yet again," Joe said. Kevin jokingly added that the biggest secret to the sequel to last summer's hit movie is that it takes place "in space."

What about the whispers that the littlest Jonas, Frankie, might be joining the cast? Well, not even his older brothers were able to clear up the rumors about Bonus Jonas. "Frankie, being in the movie? There's talks of that. I don't know," Joe said. "He might just do his own movie."

Nick was quick to remind him that he already had — Frankie will star alongside Miley Cyrus' little sister, Noah, in "Ponyo," out this August. "Maybe he'll go to junior camp," Joe said about any other films Frankie might be working on. "Frankie is a little superstar. He has his own movie."

Their "Camp Rock" leading lady, Demi Lovato, also recently chatted to MTV News about hitting the set with the boys later this year, with or without Frankie onboard.

"They're, like, some of my closest friends," she said of the JoBros. "Even in our free time, we'll be like, 'Let's go write a song.' We were just thinking it's going to be so much fun."

Miley Cyrus surprises Ga. fans with impromptu show

TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. – Miley Cyrus took a break from shooting "The Last Song" on the Georgia coast by borrowing a guitar and treating fans to an impromptu, two-song performance on the patio of a beachside seafood restaurant.

"By the time she finished the first song, there must have been 50 little girls and their moms who came rushing up," said Ray Rogers, owner of StingRay's restaurant on Tybee Island. He caught Miley's surprise gig on video.

Rogers said the 16-year-old "Hannah Montana" star dined on snow crab legs with a friend after wrapping up Monday's first day of filming of the Walt Disney Co. movie.

Then she got up and asked a local acoustic duo playing music if she could sit in. Miley stepped up to the microphone and strapped on a guitar to sing the Tim McGraw and Faith Hill duet "It's Your Love," then added a new song of her own.

"She played those and then we got her out of here," Rogers said. "We asked her, `What do you wanna do?' and she said `I want to get out of here.' So we walked her to a side entrance nobody knew about and got her in her car."

"The Last Song" will be filming on Tybee Island and in nearby Savannah until mid-August, stirring interest among locals and tourists alike. The movie features Cyrus as a teenage girl struggling with her parents' divorce who tries to reconnect with her father during a summer at his home in a quiet beach town.

The movie's publicist, Rachel Aberly, did not immediately return a phone call and e-mail message seeking comment Wednesday.

Jonas Brothers Talk Collaboration With Common On New Album

At this point it's not really news that the Jonas Brothers have Miley Cyrus on their new album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times,

which dropped Tuesday (June 16), and we here at MTV News are not surprised in any way to hear that the boys turned to a hip-hop star for another song on their new album.

Back in March, the guys shared with MTV News their dream of embracing hip-hop and "getting someone like a Common or a Lupe Fiasco or a Mos Def" to collaborate with them. And — just like that! — they got Common to guest-star on the song "Don't Charge Me With the Crime."

"We have Common on one song called 'Don't Charge Me With the Crime,' which is one of my favorite songs. It's a story song," Kevin Jonas told MTV News recently, describing the track's bank-robbery premise, which, he assured fans, is purely fictional. "It didn't really happen to us. But it's definitely fun to have him on the track."

Not only did the Jonas Brothers seek inspiration from the streets for the album, they also hooked up with young blues guitarist Jonny Lang for their song, "Hey Baby." "We're huge fans of his music," Kevin said. "He's playing guitar on it. For us, we've never done collaborations with anyone, other than [our bodyguard] Big Rob, we've never done collaborations with real artists on our record, so this time around, we have some pretty awesome people."

Selena Gomez says Demi Lovato is a bigger princess

NEW YORK – Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are BFFs in real life — but in their upcoming Disney Channel movie "Princess Protection Program," they don't start out that way.

Gomez plays a tomboy whose family takes in Lovato's princess after a dictator invades her country. Gomez, who turns 17 this summer along with Lovato, says they bicker at first but eventually "realize that they complement each other."

Gomez says they fit their roles, since Lovato is more princessy.

While filming in Puerto Rico, Gomez says Disney tried to separate the duo at night by putting them in different buildings.

"They knew we would never get any work done because we'd spend the night and we'd stay up late and talk," she explains. "That didn't work — I ended up living in her room half the time."

"Princess Protection Program" airs June 26.

Gomez — who ordered room service, watched movies and hit the beach with her best pal — thinks true friends shouldn't judge each other.

"You should be there for someone, and I think you should be honest with someone," she says. "I don't think it's healthy to go around gossiping and telling other people (things). I think it's nice to just sit down with someone and tell them how you feel and get it off your chest."

Gomez, who has been romantically linked to teen heartthrobs Nick Jonas and Taylor Lautner, says she is proudly single and not looking for a boyfriend. She's got enough on her plate: Gomez will soon film the third season of her Disney series "Wizards of Waverly Place," and her debut pop-rock album is scheduled to be released in September.

Asked what she looks for in guy, she says: "Shia LaBeouf can call me — just kidding. ... I like for someone to be honest, nice, sweet and someone that my parents like."

What's Gomez's guiltiest pleasure?

"I like a lot of `Hannah Montana' songs — that's kind of a guilty pleasure because it doesn't match at all in my library of iTunes."

Aussie actor and Miley Cyrus

THE snaps suggested Australian actor Liam Hemsworth had hit more than the Hollywood big time by striking up a hot relationship with teen superstar Miley Cyrus.

There they were frolicking, hugging - and at one point kissing - while fully clothed in the water at Savannah, Georgia. Indeed, it was too good to be true: they were simply on day one of their three-month filmshoot for the new Disney flick The Last Song.

Gallery: Miley Cyrus

But it appears the pair have hit it off, nevertheless.

Hemsworth, the younger brother of fellow actor Chris, has been cast as the Hannah Montana star's love interest. It's a big step up for Hemsworth, who has had small roles in Neighbours and the adult pay TV drama Satisfaction.

If Cyrus's enormous popularity translates to box-office sales, it could be huge. The movie sees Cyrus as a rebellious teen forced to spend summer with her estranged father. Hemsworth plays one of the local cool crowd.

Jonas Brothers Sing About Exes On 'Lines, Vines and Trying Times'

Less than a year ago, the Jonas Brothers released their album A Little Bit Longer, at a time when some critics claimed the band's popularity was waning. But the guys have proven them wrong, drawing crowds of screaming girls at every appearance, selling out their summer tour in a hot minute and getting people buzzing about their new album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times.

"I think in that period, we went through a lot, both in our personal lives and musically," Nick told MTV News of the stretch between albums. "And also we had a lot of music in our hearts we just wanted to share. We're really happy with this album."

This time around, Nick, Joe and Kevin relied heavily on their personal lives when it came time to write the tracks. These songs include Nick's duet with Miley Cyrus, "Before the Storm," and Joe's apparent breakup ode to Taylor Swift, "Much Better".

And the guys say they're comfortable with fans dissecting their love lives while listening to the songs. "Absolutely!" Joe said. "I think that will happen until we're 60 years old."

Kevin agreed, saying, "For us, it's about personal experiences."

"I think even the songs that talk about previous relationships really are pointed towards the fans in the end," Nick added. "They're the best and they're the reason we're doing what we're doing."

Hannah Montana ending on 2010

Hannah Montana” is coming to an end.

The Disney Channel series starring Miley Cyrus is expected to wrap up a four season run next year, according to the 16-year-old’s dad and co-star, Billy Ray Cyrus.

In an interview for Access Hollywood and “The Billy Bush Show,” Cyrus said the cast, which just wrapped up shooting season 3, will carry on for one more run of shows at Miley’s request.

“Quite frankly, I give a lot of credit to Miley for taking it to another year,” Cyrus said. “She didn’t want it to just end with whatever was the last episode we did. She wanted it to build to where there’s a moral to the story, to where it doesn’t just end and go away and that’s it. She wanted there to be an official ending to ‘Hannah Montana.’”

Cyrus said they will film the final 11 half-hour long episodes and a one-hour long season finale, all expected to screen in 2010.

“We’ll start (shooting) season 4 sometime around the end of January,” Billy Ray said. “We have to be done by the first week of June in the summer of next year.”

Diamond among Jonas Brothers' influences

LOS ANGELES, June 13 (UPI) -- Singer Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers says famed singer Neil Diamond is one of the U.S. pop group's greatest influences.

Jonas, 19, said during an appearance on "Good Morning America" that the "Sweet Caroline" singer was a great influence on the pop group's forthcoming new album, "Lines, Vines and Trying Times," Parade magazine reported Friday.

Tickets For Miley Cyrus Show To Be Paperless

LITTLE ROCK — Tween idol Miley Cyrus is scheduled to perform at Alltel Arena on Oct. 24, and organizers have taken steps to keep scalpers from scooping up tickets as happened the last time Cyrus was in North Little Rock.

All tickets for Cyrus’ show will be paperless, which means people can pay for admission in advance but they have to show at the door a government-issued identification and swipe the credit card used to pay for the tickets. The patron will be issued paper slips with their seat number.

Cyrus, the teen star of the Disney Channel’s “Hannah Montana” show, played in North Little Rock on Dec. 1. Attorney General Dustin McDaniel opened an investigation after widespread complaints scalpers bought most of the tickets within minutes.

Gabe Holmstrom, a spokesman for McDaniel’s office, said McDaniel’s office would monitor the ticket sales for this year’s show and was hopeful the paperless system would deter ticket scalpers.

“We’re told that the folks over there feel that this is going to be effective, but who knows what other technological tricks are out there,” Holmstrom said.McDaniel is also working with a group of attorneys general from other states on a list of best practices and disclosures for ticket sellers and concert venues, Holmstrom said.

Miley Cyrus: Nick Jonas and I Have "Reconnected"

Miley Cyrus -- who split from beau Justin Gaston earlier this week -- says it's nice to be back on friendly terms with ex Nick Jonas.

"He's my best friend, and we still hang out all the time," she said Friday on 107.5 The River's Woody and Jim morning show in Nashville. "We've definitely reconnected. We don't know what's going to happen in the future, but right now we're just kind of kicking it and hanging out as much as we can."

Cyrus split with Jonas at the end of 2007. She told Seventeen last year that she "bawled for a month straight" and dyed her hair black after calling it quits.

The two -- who sing a duet on the Jonas Brothers' new song, "Before The Storm -- have since patched things up.

"We both just kind of saw each other and kind of decided this whole thing is kind of stupid," Cyrus said. "We were all over the separation."

"I'm really happy to be back in their lives," she went on. "And our families are super happy we're hanging out again."

Jonas even took a trip to Georgia to visit Cyrus, who is now shooting the drama The Last Song. On Wednesday, they went jet-skiing near Tybee Island.

"No comment," she said when asked about the outing, though she did admit, "I am a jet ski demon!"

"I'll let people think what they will," she said. "I hope no one is upset at me for doing it. I think it's lame for it to be such a big deal because ... it's just temporary. You can take it out."

Ashley Tisdale's New Album - Guilty Pleasure - Due July 28th on Warner Bros. Records

BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pop singer and actress Ashley Tisdale will release a new album, entitled Guilty Pleasure, on Warner Bros. Records on July 28th, 2009.

With an edgy, guitar-driven pop-rock sound, Guilty Pleasure is a creative and mature leap forward for this appealing young singer and songwriter, who launched a career as a solo artist with her gold-certified Top 5 rhythmic-pop debut Headstrong in 2007. On the new album, Tisdale collaborated with a host of top top-flight producers and songwriters, such as Kara DioGuardi (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood), Toby Gad (Beyoncé, Fergie), Billy Steinberg (Madonna), Emanuel Kiriakou (David Archuleta, Nick Lachey), and Swedish production team Twin (Headstrong singles "Not Like That" and "Be Good To Me"), and co-wrote several tracks.

The album's first single, "It's Alright, It's OK" — a spunky break-up anthem about being single and in control of your life for the first time — has been put into rotation on MTV and has been featured on such hit shows as So You Think You Can Dance and The Hills. Tisdale will perform on Walmart's Soundcheck and AOL Sessions this summer.

Already beloved for starring in the High School Musical franchise, Tisdale took home a 2009 MTV Movie Award in the "Breakthrough Performance, Female" category for her role in High School Musical 3: Senior Year, beating out Amanda Seyfried, Freida Pinto, Miley Cyrus, Vanessa Hudgens, and Kat Dennings. Tisdale's YouTube channel is the No. 5 Most Subscribed to channel of all time. Demi Lovato Says It Would Be An 'Honor' To Be On 'New Moon' Soundtrack

As a fan of "Twilight," Demi Lovato would jump at the chance to be on the "New Moon" soundtrack. Her name has been rumored — along with Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini — to be on the soundtrack-consideration list.

Lovato says that for now, at least, it doesn't seem likely that her music will be featured in the film. "That [rumor], like, blew up. It is funny," she told MTV News on the set of her new video, "Here We Go Again."

Admittedly, MTV News may have been the ones to plant the "New Moon" seed when we suggested her name back in February. "Someone asked me and I said that would be cool," she explained. "There's no plans for that, so we can clear that up — but it would be a complete honor."

Lovato is looking forward to watching "New Moon" when it comes out later this year. "I'm dying to see the movie," the teen admitted. And she's already decided who she would like to write a love song for if she is asked to be on the soundtrack.

"Edward Cullen — I would write a love song to him," the singer/actress said, before giddily adding, "Or Jacob Black!"

Miley Cyrus to tour UK, not as "Hannah Montana"

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Teen pop sensation Miley Cyrus has announced dates for her first UK tour which will start in December, as she continues to build a pop music career in her own right rather than as her alter-ego Hannah Montana.
Cyrus, 16, who plays a schoolgirl with a secret identity as rock star Hannah Montana in the hit Disney series and movie, will perform two nights at London's O2 Arena on December 13 and 14.

She will then travel to Dublin, Birmingham and Manchester for a further six dates. Cyrus, the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, will be supported by Metro Station, the band of her older brother Chase.

The tour comes on the back of the release of "Breakout," her first album as herself and without featuring Hannah Montana.

Last week Cyrus announced 45 dates for a North American tour which starts in September.

Cyrus has become one of the biggest teen idols in the world since landing a role in 2006 in the Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana" sitcom.

The series has also led to a lucrative line in merchandise and Cyrus last week announced she was teaming up with designer Max Azria to create a budget-friendly clothing line that will be sold in the major U.S. retailer Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Her movie, "Hannah Montana: The Movie" was released in May to strong box office sales and the teenager confirmed earlier this month that she had signed up for a fourth series of the TV show.

Jonas Brothers Monkee around on new show

LOS ANGELES -- No one knew at the time, of course.
Three years ago, the Disney Channel approached a then-unknown boy band made up of three brothers named Joe, Kevin and Nick, to record the theme song for one of its new animated series.

A hot-selling music video, a TV movie, a reality series, a 3D concert movie and a Grammy nomination later, the brothers star in their very own sitcom, called Jonas.
Jonas makes its Canadian debut this Friday on the Family Channel, after bowing last month on the U.S. Disney Channel.

The brothers' core support group of barely pubescent girls greeted Jonas with paroxysms of joy, while the reviews ranged from Variety's "an inoffensive permutation . . . of the Frankie and Annette movies," to a TV.com contributor's, "shockingly, not THAT bad."

Billed by its Disney Channel minders as "The Monkees meets Flight of the Conchords," Jonas revolves around the day-to-day comedic adventures of fictional rock stars Joe, Kevin and Nick Lucas. The Lucas brothers have formed a band called Jonas, named for the street they live on. They live with their parents and little brother Frankie in a converted firehall in New Jersey, where they try to lead ordinary lives while navigating a steady parade of concert tours and throngs of adoring fans following their every move.

It was easy enough to draw a line between the Jonas Brothers' real lives and the fictional lives of their sitcom alter egos because doing a TV show is, like, you know, work.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

"We're so used to doing music," Joe Jonas explained earlier this year. "This gives us a great opportunity to act and have music as well.

"It's an easy transition for us in one way, because we're natural musicians. But acting is totally different for us. Going into it, we were pretty nervous. We weren't sure how we would do. We did Camp Rock, but doing a television series, we didn't know exactly how it would roll out. It's been a lot of fun, though."

Writing songs for the show also introduced them to a new concept: TV deadlines.
"They'll give us kind of like an outline of what they need for the episode," Nick said. "And then they'll say they need it, like -- tomorrow."

The fictionalized crises in the show are easier to write music to, though.
"We've been making the joke constantly that now we don't have to get our hearts broken to write a song about heartbreak," Nick said. "It's a (much) easier way to do it."

Joe waxed philosophical about the group's real-life following.

"We write about things that are real to us, the things we go through every day," Joe said. "We're the same age as a lot of the people who listen to our music, and they're going through the same things."

Young fans often ask the Jonas Brothers how they can also become musicians.
That's better than asking how to become famous, Nick said.
"A lot of our fans come up to me and say, 'I'm a songwriter. I want to be a musician one day.' That's what I love to hear, when somebody says, 'I want to be a musician,' 'I want to be an artist,' 'I want to be an actor.' As opposed to, 'I want to be famous.' I think when you're really wholehearted about it -- and I've always strived to be the best I can be -- the attitude just comes naturally."

Added Joe: "We always tell them, 'Live your dreams. It may not work out right away like you hope, but you'll get there eventually.' There are always tough times. We had them.
"We tell people to live to those dreams because if you stick to it and you really work hard, there will be a payoff at the end. It may not be what you expect, but it'll be there."
